The V&A Waterfront is located in the heart of Cape Town.  It boasts shops, attractions, water activities, restaurants and so much more.  This is a great way to spend an afternoon.

Cape Wheel

The Cape Wheel in the V&A Waterfront – August 2016.

The Cape Wheel is a slow moving observation wheel that provides an opportunity to see the sites from above.  The wheel takes you 40 metres above the ground.  The wheel takes approximately 15 minutes to complete 4 revolutions.

The viewing from the wheel provides some spectacular views of Cape Town, The Waterfront, Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Paarl Mountains and the Cape Town Stadium.

The Marketplace

The marketplace has a mall, shops, a fantastic bakery and plenty of activities.  There were a number of buskers performing.  If you walk down the waterway, you can find many water activities for hire such as boat rides.
